Tranquilo Golf Club recently hosted the 3rd annual Diamond Resorts Invitational benefiting Florida Hospital for Children. The course was in pristine condition for the January event, having recently undergone a full renovation of its driving range, making it one of the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art practice facilities in Central Florida. The newly enhanced $2.5 million practice facility encompasses an expansive 16-acres. Its unique layout, which features undulating target greens, a Par 3 short course, and an 18-hole putting course, make it ideal for a variety of skill levels.
The three-day tournament was nationally televised on Golf Channel from January 12-14, 2018 and brought together up to 28 PGA TOUR Champions players, four LPGA players, and 52 top-tier athletes and entertainers. Scott Parel was the champion in the professional field, while Mardy Fish took home the trophy in the celebrity field. Proceeds from the event’s live and silent auction directly benefitted Florida Hospital for Children, one of the nation’s premier children’s hospitals. This year, the Diamond Resorts Invitational generated an astounding $801,000 for Florida Hospital for Children through fundraising efforts and the silent and live auctions. Including the proceeds from this year’s event, the tournament has now raised more than $3.1 million for Florida Hospital for Children.
“It is a distinct honour to take part in an event that benefitted Florida Hospital for Children and leaves a lasting charitable impact in our community,” says Thomas Steinhauer, General Manager and Regional Vice President of Four Seasons Resort Orlando.More posts from March 2018
